LIBS CARE ABOUT GLOBAL ELITES

Re “Liberal hopefuls disguising carbon tax as a ‘replacement’” (Lorne Gunter, Jan. 18): The federal Liberal leader wannabes are trying to disguise the existing carbon tax in the next election. I’ve pondered why they are still clinging to this disastrous, Canada-ruining tax, and I think I’ve finally figured it out. Carney, Freeland and the rest of their Liberal ilk are all elitists. They care way more about how they look in the eyes of other global elitists from other countries than they do about actual hard-working Canadians. The last nine years of this type of attitude has made this country into something this 64-year-old barely recognizes, and not in a good way. So sad. Good riddance, you bunch of bums.

(They have demonstrated long ago they care little for and don’t understand the financial realities Canadians are facing every day)

TRUDEAU SHOULD BE ASHAMED

How can the government criminally charge the organizers of the truckers convoy and not do the same thing with the various organizers of the antisemitism protests across our country? All of our governments are to blame for continuing to allow these racist protests unabated, leaving our Jewish communities in fear. Trudeau should be embarrassed to attend the Holocaust memorial in Poland after the way he and his government have left the Jewish community without any assistance or help. Wait a second, I almost forgot, Trudeau has no morals. Can’t be gone soon enough!

TARIFF TALK

Colombia had the threatened tariffs and other trade actions reversed by Trump when they agreed, rightfully, to take back their own citizens. I suspect the Canadian situation can also be repaired with a similar response to Trump — i.e. strengthen our border and spend 2% of GDP on defence. Both of which we should be doing anyway.

(We should be doing that. But those tariffs are days away and Canada has done nothing)
