January has seen a barrage of typical British winter weather, with forecasts predicting that frost and fog may continue into February. Thankfully, UNIQLO has the perfect pair of trousers for these chilly winter days and they are now on sale for less than £13.
The Flannel Trousers from UNIQLO are made from 100% brushed cotton flannel, offering “pyjama comfort” for lounging around in, but have also been labelled as perfect to pair with any top and dress up or down for everyday use.
The trousers offer a versatile, relaxed silhouette, with wide, straight legs, and have pockets at both sides to store your essentials if you’re wearing them out and about. They are even finished with an elastic waistline and a concealed drawstring, ensuring the perfect fit with ease.
The trousers are machine washable on a gentle, 40°C cycle, but are not suitable for tumble-drying or dry cleaning. They also come in three stylish colours, either black, beige, or dark grey – and some shoppers have said they love the trousers so much, they have snapped up all three colours.
The Flannel Trousers are typically available in sizes XXS right through to XXL. However, the dark grey and beige options have proved particularly popular, with just sizes XXS to Medium currently available in dark grey, while the beige only has sizes XS, Small, Medium, and Large in stock, at the time of writing.
The UNIQLO bottoms would usually cost £19.90, but they are currently on sale for a bargain price of just £12.90, saving you 35%. And shoppers certainly seem to think the trousers are a must-have, as they have garnered an overall rating of 4.6 stars out of five on the UNIQLO website.
One happy shopper wrote: “Love this pair of flannel trousers so, so much that I got another pair in beige. Good quality for the price and so comfortable to wear, and creates such an effortless style that is perfect in British autumn and winter weather. Easily dressed for both work or at home, up or down!”
Another commented: “Since I bought my first flannel trousers several years ago, I keep wearing them and styling them for autumn and winter. They’re the perfect look and a staple to have in a wardrobe.”
A third added: “These trousers are so easy to grab and throw on with any top. It makes the outfit look chic, but it is super comfortable at the same time. Need this in every colour!”
And a fourth penned: “These trousers are so soft and comfy. I prefer them to joggers as they’re more breathable, but also warm. Length is great for me to wear with my flatform boots and trainers, or around house. I’m 5’4, so length is perfect.
“I bought M for a regular fit, and L for a looser fit for lazing around. I have a 29-inch waist, usually a size 12. The elasticated waist is very forgiving, plus there’s a tie inside to adjust. Think pyjama comfort. So good I went back for more.”
However, some shoppers had issues with the sizing of the Flannel Trousers, as one noted: “Size guide was way off. I bought 2 pairs of flannel trousers in the sale. Quality is great, but I used the size calculator and it recommended XL for weight, height, and age… I was sceptical but went with it. They are huge! Never worn XL previously but trusted the calculator, won’t do that again.”
And another added: “Usually a 28/32 in trousers (size 10) and bought a M. Didn’t fit at all like they do on the model, tight and short, so had to return. Lovely quality and material, so really disappointed I can’t keep them.”
