A shoplifter has been accused of stealing £1,000 worth of Lego in Bristol. The suspect was arrested by police yesterday morning (Tuesday, January 28).

It has been confirmed that they have since been charged with multiple theft offences. The alleged shoplifter will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (January 29).

Joe Iles, the Avon and Somerset Neighbourhood Police Sergeant covering Knowle, Filwood, Hengrove and Whitchurch, said in a post on X: “Attended a shoplifter detained call earlier today. On arrival, I was informed the suspect was believed to have stolen £1,000 worth of Lego. Arrested and colleagues then transported to custody.”

He added: “Charged and remanded – the suspect will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court today for multiple shop theft offences.”
