The 2025 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in partnership with Ulster Bank are launched today as the prestigious event marks its silver anniversary.
For a quarter of a century, the Belfast Telegraph has marked the achievements of businesses and businesspeople around Northern Ireland at a glittering annual awards ceremony. Entries for this year’s awards are now open, and will culminate in an awards ceremony on May 1 at the Crowne Plaza, Belfast.
Mark Crimmins, regional managing director of headline sponsor Ulster Bank, said: “At Ulster Bank, we are proud of our continued association with the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards and recognise the importance of celebrating the many achievements of our local business community.
“Our teams across the bank work with business customers of all sizes and from all sectors, providing the financial support they need to fulfil their growth ambitions.
“While the last 12 months have not been without challenges, we know that there are many positive stories to tell.
“I hope businesses will put themselves forward for the awards and allow us to celebrate the wonderful contribution they to make to the local economy.”
Eoin Brannigan, editor-in-chief of the Belfast Telegraph and Sunday Life, said: “We’re delighted to launch the 2025 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in partnership with Ulster Bank today.
“It’s the silver anniversary of the event this year, a really exciting landmark, and it’s as big an honour as ever to celebrate the achievements of companies around Northern Ireland.
“Thank you to Ulster Bank for their brilliant support and to our judging panel led by Clare Guinness for their commitment.” Clare Guinness, chief executive of Belfast Chamber, is the third chair of the judging panel across the history of the awards, following economist John Simpson and Professor Mark Durkin, former executive dean at the Ulster University Business School.
Ms Guinness said: “It’s a privilege to be asked again to chair the judging panel of the Belfast Telegraph Awards, which recognise the achievements of our vibrant private sector.
“The panel of judges have vast experience across many sectors and usually have a tough task selecting winners from strong contenders and I am sure this year will be no different.
“I would encourage as many businesses as possible to apply and let’s collectively acknowledge the positive strides and impact businesses make to our economy and society.”
