Alexander Dragonetti has won over the nation with his appearance on The Traitors, despite not winning the cash prize in the final of the popular BBC show. In the thrilling final episode aired last week, Faithfuls Leanne and Jake walked away with a substantial £94,600, while Alexander and Frankie narrowly missed out in the end game, despite being loyal players.

Alexander’s performance has earned him a legion of fans, leading him to clarify his relationship status post-show. However, the 38-year-old civil servant could be swapping the tension of the game for the glitz and glamour of the dance floor, as he’s been tipped by bookies to appear on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Leading bookmaker Coral has slashed the odds from 6-1 to 2-1 on Alexander being a contestant on Strictly later this year, and he’s at 10-1 to win the show in 2025. “Alexander was one of the biggest stars on Traitors this year. He was loved by the viewers of the show, and he is now being backed to shine on the Strictly dance floor later this year,” said John Hill from Coral.

During his time on The Traitors, host Claudia Winkleman hinted that the handsome star was single, causing quite a stir. Despite his newfound fame, Alexander confirmed he’s still on the market.

When asked about his romantic status after the show, he replied with a laugh: “I am still single… I’ll probably leave it there”, reports the Daily Record.

But those hoping to catch his eye might have to face some serious competition. Claudia let slip on Uncloaked that her Whatsapp has been flooded with messages asking about Alexander’s relationship status.

It’s not just his looks that have caught attention; his genuine nature and memorable moments on the show have endeared him to fans. Expressing his appreciation for the support he’s received, Alexander said: “I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve had during this.

“It was quite an intense process because I got off the train and then came back into the game only two and a half weeks ago. It’s been made so much more enjoyable because of all the support out there and I’m enormously grateful for it, it really means a lot.”
