A new cafe has opened in Pill, serving up ‘scrumptious treats’ and premium coffee. L’amour du Cafe, which is located on Pill Street, opened its doors last week, at first with shorter opening hours due to some planned site work taking place.
Sharing the news in a local Facebook group, the team wrote: “We simply couldn’t wait to welcome you all and share what we’ve been working so hard to create. Come along and enjoy our scrumptious treats, including freshly baked muffins, butter croissants, lemon cake, chocolate cookies, and of course our premium Dimello Coffee will be ready to perk you up and make your day that little bit brighter.”
The team went on to say “this has been a real labour of love, and we’re thrilled to bring a cosy, local coffee shop to the heart of the Pill community. Your support means the world to us as we celebrate this special milestone!” L’amour du Cafe will be situated at Number 4 Pill Street, the former home of Petratherapy, a dog physiotherapist in the area.
For now, the cafe says, some of the cakes and bakes on offer will be served up on a trial basis in order to find out exactly what its customers enjoy most. The team are urging visitors to share their feedback and suggestions in order to help refine the menu.
Opening hours are also currently in a trial phase, but as it stands the cafe will be open from Mondays to Saturdays. The cafe team continues: “We can’t wait to meet you all, serve you a delicious coffee and celebrate this exciting moment together.
“Please bear with us if you notice any teething problems – getting to this point hasn’t been easy, but we’re here now thanks to plenty of hard work and determination! Thank you ever so much for your understanding and support.”
