Booking a holiday during the winter months can be a perfect way to escape the seasonal gloom.

After all, what could be more enticing than escaping to sunny climates? TikTok user Harry, also known as Harry Tokky, has shared a “very important” piece of advice for travellers heading to the popular destination of Benidorm.

In his latest update, he revealed that Benidorm is experiencing an unusually hot spell, hinting at a potentially “scorching” season ahead.

Speaking in a straightforward video message, Harry said: “If you’ve not worked out where I am, I’m at the pharmacy and we’re going to do our weather update. It’s pretty much five o’clock here in Benidorm and today it’s been gorgeous.

“As you can see, I’m wearing a T-shirt and definitely shorts weather. So, if you’re coming out to Benidorm, make sure to pack t-shirts and shorts, because you are going to need them, and definitely some sun cream as well.”

The warmth was so unexpected that Harry confessed he was astonished he didn’t end up with a sunburnt nose while filming, remarking that it “doesn’t feel like January.” With temperatures reaching a remarkable 27°C, it’s clear why he’s highlighting the heatwave.

Since Harry shared the video, it has racked up hundreds of views, with many viewers chiming in with their excitement about their upcoming holidays. One eager traveller commented: “I’m coming over in May. Just can’t wait.”

Another optimistically requested: “Keep it like that for February 7!” A third person also said: “First week of March, hurry up!”

Typically, Benidorm in January is deemed “quite cool”, and travellers are often recommended to bring warmer clothing, especially for the evenings. On average, the daily high temperature is about 17°C, with the daily low coming in at around 7°C.

Currently, forecasters are expecting highs of 21°C, although they predict temperatures will decline as the week progresses. The rest of the week might see temperatures hover around 16°C, potentially dropping further on certain days.

February also presents a pleasant time to visit Benidorm, as the climate remains gentle with plenty of sun, and the resort is quieter compared to the bustling summer months.

However, it’s worth remembering that evening temperatures can be brisk, so packing something warm for night-time outings is advisable.
