DevonLive previously reported that football fans returning home from Bristol described it as the “worst train journey ever”. Hundreds of fans were crammed onto a CrossCountry service, which was delayed for more than an hour as emergency services responded to the incident onboard.

One Plymouth Argyle fan said: “We were packed like sardines on that train. All four carriages on the train were full. The whole train was stuffed to the rafters with passengers. In all honesty it was the worst train journey I’ve had in my life.”

They also reported that one person had been punching people on board including fellow passengers and staff, and reported that he saw blood on the floor of the carriage.

In a statement, BTP said: “Officers investigating a fight at Tiverton Parkway railway station in November have released these images in connection.

“Just before 8pm on Saturday 30 November 2024, a fight broke out between several men on board a train from Bristol to Plymouth, during which several men were assaulted.
