A teenager has died after a tree fell on his car due to Storm Eowyn.
The 19-year-old died after the incident in Mauchline, East Ayrshire.
He was driving a blue Ford Focus on the B743 when the car was struck.
Scottish police said the incident ocurred at 6.45am on Friday.

Footage taken shows the emergency vehicles rushing to attend the crash.
Authorities remained at the scene as enquiries into the incident were carried out.
The teen was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment where he saldy succumbed to his injuries.
Sergeant Chris McColm of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.”
The incident happened before a red weather warning came into force in Scotland due to the approaching storm.
It warned of hurricane-force winds and falling debris posing a danger to life.
Gusts of 100mph were recorded, leaving over 100,000 homes without power, knocking down trees, tearing roofs from buildings and sending debris flying through the air.
This is the second death in relation to the storm after 20-year-old Kacper Dudek died in County Donegal, Ireland also from a falling tree on his vehicle.

Dudek was on the phone to his father when his car was crushed by the tree, tragically dying at the scene.
Authorities said: “Gardaí in Raphoe continue to investigate the fatal road traffic incident that occurred at Feddyglass, Raphoe, Donegal on Friday morning 24th January 2025 which resulted in the death of Kacper Dudek (20).”
“The body of the deceased man has been removed from the scene to the mortuary in Letterkenny University Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place in due course.”
This came as Ireland was hit hard by the storm, with over one million homes, farms and businesses in the Republic and Northern Ireland left without power.
