During the winter months many of us are looking ahead to brighter, and warmer, times. With Bristol Airport expanding its destination offerings, there are even more incredible places you can visit this year for some well deserved rest and relaxation.
So if you’re looking for the perfect combination of sun, sand, culture, and great food, Jet2holidays have you covered. From the first week of May you can fly to two new Greek hotspots: Kalamata and Leros Island.
If you like to have a lot of options of things to do whilst on holiday, Kalamata is the place for you. Situated on the Peloponnese peninsula, Kalamata is described as a: “cosmopolitan destination”.
“The city blends old and new, with charming churches and cobbled streets in the north contrasting with lively bars, shops, and modern restaurants by the harbour. The perfect spot to experience a bit of everything,” it reads on the Bristol Airport website.
There are plenty of tours, museums, beaches and more to see and do, making it a great choice for your holiday this summer. If you simply want a relaxing, fuss-free holiday, Leros Island might be for you.
Situated as part of the Dodecanese Islands, Leros floats in the Aegean close to Kos and is described as having “crystal-clear waters, sandy beaches and peaceful atmosphere,” it’s the perfect summer destination.
There’s still incredible places to visit on the island in the surrounding area. Jet2’s description reads: “Get lost in charming villages like Panteli and Alinda, where narrow streets are dotted with authentic, whitewashed houses. The island’s rich in history too, with impressive sites like the medieval Castle of Leros and the War Museum to explore. If you fancy a break from sunbathing on the golden sand, you could try hiking through the lush hills or water sports in secluded coves. Leros is just a ferry-hop away from Kos”.
Flights from Bristol Airport to Leros Island run three times a week, flights to Kalamata run once a week.
Jet2holidays are currently offering package deals for Kalamata and Leros Island, with an almost £200 discount thanks to the Big Jet2 Sale.
