Dancing On Ice is gearing up for its second elimination following the unexpected departure of Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey in the first round of the 2025 series, who was eliminated without even participating in a skate-off.

Despite Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave being the favourite to leave this weekend, there’s also disappointing news for Springwatch presenter Michaela Strachan as she’s no longer the top pick to win the 2025 series. Instead, The Traitors star Mollie Pearce has been tipped as the new 2/1 favourite by online bookmaker Betway.

Michaela now trails behind Mollie with odds of 5/2 to win, while TOWIE’s Dan Edgar and Coronation Street’s Sam Aston are both strong contenders with odds of 9/2.

This update comes after the announcement that comedian Josh Jones had to withdraw from the series ahead of this weekend’s live show due to an injury.

These latest odds come in the wake of last weekend’s elimination when Chelsee Healey was sent home after a contentious new rule split fan opinion. The lowest combined score from the judges and public votes resulted in her immediate elimination rather than a skate-off, reports the Mirror.

The 36 year old and her ice partner Andy Buchanan were at the bottom of the score table during the opening weekend, earning only 22 points from the judges after the initial group performances. However, after all celebrities had performed last Sunday, Chelsee found herself up against Josh, who had scored 20.5 earlier that evening.

The combined scores from the judges and public votes sealed Chelsee’s fate, and she was eliminated from the competition.

In a gracious exit, Chelsee praised her professional partner Andy, calling him “amazing” and acknowledging that she “couldn’t have done it without him”. She also shared her personal struggles, saying: “I feel, personally, there’s been a lot going on with me that I’ve been struggling with, so I couldn’t completely focus. I’m just really grateful, I’ve had the best time.”

Chelsee expressed her gratitude to her fans through a heartfelt post on social media, sharing photos and videos from her time on Dancing On Ice. Alongside the posts, she wrote: “Had so many messages about Dancing on ice Thankyou Everyone for the Support.”
