It looks like the end is in sight for The Masked Singer’s Kingfisher this weekend – and a TV legend will be revealed to be behind the character. It follows the shock reveal of T’Pau singer Carol Decker as Tattoo during Superhero Week.

With four characters already sent packing and eight remaining to dazzle with their performances, bookies predict that Kingfisher will be the next to fly the coop on Saturday, January 25.

Speculation is rife about the celebrity behind the Kingfisher costume, with names like Harry Hill, Daniel Radcliffe, and Bob Mortimer being tossed around. However, online bookmaker Betway has placed gardening guru and television icon Alan Titchmarsh at the top of the list as the favourite to be unmasked as Kingfisher.

After belting out tunes like Rainbow Connection and Iris, the esteemed Ground Force presenter has emerged as the 2/1 frontrunner. Comedian Harry Hill and Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe are not far behind with odds of 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.

Other contenders include Bob Mortimer at 7/1, Paul Whitehouse and Jonny Vaughn both at 10/1. Mike Reading, spokesperson at Betway, commented: “On Saturday, fans of The Masked Singer are in for a treat as all eight remaining characters will return to perform together for the very first time, bringing us closer to uncovering the next celebrity behind the mask.”

After clues of ‘fishing and planting’, ‘the right groundwork’, and ‘enjoying the great outdoors’, Ground Force star Alan Titchmarsh leads the odds as the 2/1 favourite to be behind the mask of Kingfisher, reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, Charlie Dimmock, a close friend and former co-star on Ground Force, is tipped as the 3/1 favourite to be Bush in this year’s series. This follows Carol Decker being the fourth celebrity to be unmasked on the ITV show.

Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway was the first to be revealed when she was unveiled as Spaghetti Bolognese. Following closely, viewers discovered that Great British Bake Off’s Prue Leith was Pegasus while Toad In The Hole was singer Macy Gray.
