How to prevent signs of ageing
Scientists note that the appearance of wrinkles and skin sagging is primarily influenced by both genetic and environmental factors.
Whilst diet and exercise remain fundamental for overall body health, research suggests skincare practices may also play a role in how skin changes over time.
These findings support a balanced approach to ageing that combines healthy lifestyle choices with appropriate skincare measures.
The American Academy of Dermatology Association emphasises that sun protection is crucial in preventing premature ageing.
“Whether spending a day at the beach or running errands, sun protection is essential”, the organisation states.
They recommend seeking shade and wearing sun-protective clothing, including long-sleeved shirts, wide-brimmed hats and UV-protective sunglasses.
