The Masked Singer UK’s thrilling sixth series keeps ITV audiences on their toes as they’re eager to uncover the secret identities of a fresh batch of disguised characters.
With four famous faces already revealed, the show dropped some major surprises early on. Fans were left speechless when Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway and Bake Off legend Prue Leith were exposed as Spag Bol and Pegasus in the opening episode.
They were swiftly followed by 90s sensation Macy Gray and rock powerhouse Carol Decker from T’Pau, who turned out to be Toad in the Hole and Tattoo, respectively.
That leaves just eight characters shrouded in mystery. With the group set to perform together for the first time on the upcoming Saturday show (January 25), here’s a quick rundown of the hints and fan theories gathered so far, reports the Mirror.
Bear

Bear has captivated viewers with a mixed bag of performances:
Week 1: ‘You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two’ from Oliver!
Week 2: ‘Miami’ by Will Smith
Demonstrating a chameleon-like vocal range, Bear has effortlessly juggled musical theatre and rap, hinting at a possibly extensive theatrical background. References to the stage, the West End, football, and comedy have peppered the clue-laden VTs.
Speculative names tossed around include Patrick Stewart, Tom Davis, David Harewood, Example, Doc Brown, and Richard Blackwood.
Blackwood intriguingly responded to the speculation during a segment on Good Morning Britain (January 21), teasing, “That’s how I’d do it if I was to do it.”
The EastEnders star also hinted that Bear’s “swagger” has led to speculation about his identity, cheekily saying “it’s hot” inside the costume, before quickly chuckling: “So I’ve heard.” Is he just playing coy?
Bush

Tunes belted out:
Week 1: ‘Wake Up!’ by The Boo Radleys
Week 2: ‘Hold My Hand’ by Jess Glynne
Clues dropped for Bush suggest a cheery character, one who loves hanging out with mates and has a knack for “stage managing”. Taking cues from the foliage motif, celebrity gardener Charlie Dimmock springs up as a possible suspect.
While the panel’s hunches have ranged from Catherine O’Hara, Billie Piper to Stacey Solomon, the audience is convinced they can pinpoint the mystery singer from their distinctive vocals.
“Bush sounds like Natalie Cassidy to me! ” exclaimed one fan on X (formerly known as Twitter), while another theorised: “I think Bush is Natalie Cassidy. Sounds like her and she did gardening videos on YouTube, that’s the only clue I can get to fit!”
Is the EastEnders icon masquerading as the verdant vocalist?
Dressed Crab

Hits performed:
Week 1: ‘Lean on Me’ by Bill Withers
Week 2: ‘Let’s Groove’ by Earth Wind & Fire
This elegant crustacean has taken The Masked Singer stage by storm with their powerhouse performances.
Hints for Dressed Crab have played up an athletic angle, as they disclosed a desire not to be “beaten”, stressing “there’s too much at stake”. Moreover, this character has mentioned how their work has brilliantly “lit up” the UK.
Dressed Crab towers over host Joel Dommett, who stands at 5ft 11 inches, indicating that this celebrity is quite tall. Fans have subsequently speculated that the character could be former NFL player and Brooklyn 99 star Terry Crews.
“Terry Crews played in the NFL, the crab is absolutely massive and it also sounds exactly like Terry Crews,” one viewer penned on X.
Several other performers are also being considered, with The Weeknd, Jamie Foxx, Billy Porter and Gregory Porter being suggested by the judges.
Kingfisher

Songs performed:
Week 1: ‘The Rainbow Connection’ from The Muppet Movie
Week 2: ‘Iris’ by The Goo Goo Dolls
Over the past few weeks, Kingfisher has been charming us with their soothing voice. They “enjoy” the great outdoors, have won awards and have showcased their “chorus from time to time”.
Harry Hill was one of the first names brought up, as his voice bears a striking resemblance to Kingfisher’s. However, one of the clues featured the name ‘Harry’ on a tag attached to a wagon wheel. Would the show be so bold as to include the celebrity’s name in the VT?
Other suggestions include Paul Whitehouse, Alan Titchmarsh, Chris Packham and Bob Mortimer.
Fans have also taken to Reddit to claim they “knew” who the celebrity was, despite them not matching the clues: “Whilst the clues don’t add up, if you listen to Simon Farnaby’s voice, and then Kingfisher’s, it’s so obvious that it’s Simon Farnaby!”
Pufferfish

Songs performed:
Week 1: ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ by Chappell Roan
Week 2’s performance of ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ by Cyndi Lauper has left fans convinced that Pufferfish, one of The Masked Singer UK’s standout vocal talents, must hail from the entertainment world.
Hints suggest the celebrity behind the mask has rubbed shoulders with some “fantastic” faces, is quick on the uptake and is certainly “no one-hit wonder”.
Despite the panel’s speculation pointing towards American celebrities like Hayden Panettiere, Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie, and Lea Michele, the accent might be a red herring – Pufferfish could very well be a British talent.
Musical theatre enthusiasts are adamant that Samantha Barks is the voice of Pufferfish. Her signature singing style seems to align perfectly with the masked performer’s range, and the clues seem to fit.
One eagle-eyed viewer exclaimed on social media: “Finally got Pufferfish – it’s Samantha Barks!”
They pointed out her connections to Anita Dobson (Angie Watts) in a film and another titled Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart, not to mention the boots that match her colour from I’d Do Anything. Her reputation as a sensational performer only adds to the theory.
Is Samantha Barks the West End sensation behind Pufferfish’s mask? With a voice like hers, the mystery may continue for some time.
Snail

Meanwhile, Snail has serenaded the audience with ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter in Week 1 and ‘Rule the World’ by Take That in Week 2, presenting themselves as the most aristocratic contender with Bridgerton-esque hints.
Snail’s backstory suggests a “sheltered” existence yet marked by significant impact, coupled with teases of “scandalous secrets” waiting to be unveiled.
The guessing game has reached fever pitch with Bridgerton star Kathryn Drysdale, who plays Madame Delacroix, emerging as a frontrunner in fans’ theories about who’s behind Snail on The Masked Singer.
After Snail belted out tunes with an unexpected Irish lilt on January 18th, social media lit up. “#Maskedsinger snail definitely sounded Irish!” exclaimed a viewer on X, sparking a flurry of speculation suggesting names like Nadine Coyle, Nicola Coughlan and Andrea Corr.
Could Snail’s ‘true’ identity be linked to Ireland?
Teeth

Meanwhile, Teeth’s enigmatic performances have kept viewers guessing about their true identity, puzzling over their gender. Teeth is said to be a “big mouth” who looks good in “gold”.
Although the judges are betting on football talent with guesses towards Alex Scott and Jimmy Bullard, the audience seems to think humour is key here, tossing around names such as Alan Carr, Rob Beckett, James Buckley, and even Jedward.
But after Teeth’s latest show, which swung more feminine, fans threw their hands up. “Teeth is definitely a woman but who I have no idea. This is a toughie,” vents one on X; another confidently asserts: “Teeth is 100% Melanie Giedroyc.” Are they onto something?
Wolf

As for Wolf, he kicked off with David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’, setting the stage for more performances to come.
Week 2 saw ‘Copacabana (At the Copa)’ by Barry Manilow light up the stage, with Wolf delivering a performance that was nothing short of spectacular, complete with husky – no pun intended – vocal prowess.
According to the hints dropped, Wolf has embarked on a solo journey, describing his “opening gambit” as a step in the right direction. He’s hinted at a “soap opera” background and aims to be “top of the food chain”.
The panel and audience alike are convinced Wolf is a seasoned entertainer, throwing around names like Jason Donovan, Brendon Urie, Tony Hadley, and Gary Kemp as potential identities. Yet, some sharp viewers are betting on Wolf being Marti Pellow of Wet Wet Wet fame.
One Reddit user confidently stated, “It is definitely him. I got the same feeling when Morten Harket did TMS a few years ago, I knew immediately,” while another echoed the sentiment: “100% Marti Pellow. The most obvious in the history of the show.”
Could Wolf be an 80s music legend or perhaps an Aussie soap star? We’ll have to wait and see.
