Strictly Come Dancing’s Vogue Williams has given a rare insight into her previous romances, expressing certain regrets.
In a heartfelt discussion with Stylist magazine, the mother-of-three looked back on her earlier relationships, musing: “Past relationships can be regretful when you look back, but at the same time they mould you into who you are today.”
These reflections on her previous liaisons come over half a decade after she parted ways with former Westlife member Brian McFadden. Having embarked on their journey down the aisle in the beauty of Florence, Italy, their partnership saw its conclusion merely five years subsequent to the marriage in 2017.
Adding more context in one of her podcast episodes, Vogue revealed that she found one aspect of her first marriage “painfully embarrassing”, saying: “I got married and divorced really young and I found that painfully embarrassing, because it was just like such an epic failure and it was so public.”
However, as time has provided perspective, Vogue’s take on the situation has evolved. She voiced a newer stance: “Now I look back and I’m like, do you know what, no it’s not! It was a learning curve, but again, no one died, who cares?”
Vogue first crossed paths with Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, when they filmed Channel 4’s The Jump together. It was in 2018 that the pair become engaged before tying the knot just a few months later. The couple are now parents to three: Theodore, Gigi, and Otto.
Aside from her popular podcasts, My Therapist Ghosted Me and Vogue and Amber, the mother-of-three has also made appearances on a variety of TV shows including Dancing with the Stars and Stepping Out. She was also a participant in Bear Grylls: Mission Survive in 2015.
Vogue’s former partner, Brian, gained fame with his boyband Westlife before they split in 2011. Since then, Brian has made several TV appearances, including with his then-wife Vogue in ITV’s Stepping Out and later in 2015 on Catchphrase.
Brian is set to return to the game show scene tonight as he joins James Jordan, Gemma Collins, Ionica Adriana, Melvin Odoom, Hayley Hasselhoff, Charlie Hedges and Melinda Messenger on BBC One at 8.35pm.
