The Traitors presenter Claudia Winkleman has revealed that she “fundamentally” disagrees with her husband about two specific subjects but they’ve “made it work”.

In her 2020 book, ‘Quite’, the Strictly Come Dancing presenter offered insights into her relationship with her husband, Kris Thykier, with whom she shares three children – Jake, Matilda, and Arthur.

The Traitors host shared her thoughts on relationships, which she dubbed “strange”, explaining how something that’s a “deal-breaker” could prove to be a lovable “quirk” to others.

It would appear that Kris and Claudia also have their differences, especially when it comes to two things in particular, but the 53-year-old admitted that they’d made it work regardless.

Claudia wrote: “Relationships are strange and what would be an absolute deal-breaker for one person is a sweet quirk to someone else. My husband and I fundamentally disagree about buffets and baby names, yet we have made it work.

“That said, and I don’t wish to be reductive here, but there are some lights-flashing, sirens-blaring, nailed on warning signs that I strongly believe should never be ignored.”

Claudia, who tied the knot with movie producer Kris more than two decades ago in 2000, recently announced her love for a new addition in her life on the Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake podcast.

She said: “So, I’ve recently got a dog, who I am in love with. I mean, I’m gonna bore you till your ears bleed. The two [children] have left home; I didn’t know what to do. I thought I might steal a baby, so instead, I got a dog who I treat like…I mean, I don’t put him in clothes but I didn’t know.”

The presenter went on to say that Skip is the love of her life and revealed that she searches for toys for him, stokes his ears and even sings him a lullaby, but apparently, Kris thinks it’s “too much”.

Claudia and her family even included their beloved pet pooch in a heart-warming TikTok video, with the group celebrating their dog’s pretend acceptance into Harvard University.

In the text accompanying the clip, Claudia’s daughter, Matilda, wrote: “Pretending our dog got into harvard cuz why not'”. (sic).

The third season of The Traitors draws to a close tonight (Friday, January 24) at 8.30pm on BBC One.
