Superdrug is offering customers the chance to go home with their favourite perfume for just £7.99, thanks to a little-known promotional deal available in stores. The popular retailer provides perfume pods, small, refillable containers holding 5ml of liquid.
After purchasing one in-store, a member of staff can fill it with perfume for no additional cost. Users will be able to enjoy at least 65 sprays.
These convenient pods are ideal for slipping into your bag for travel or when on the go. They are touted as “the perfect daily companion for fragrance enthusiasts who wish to enjoy a delightful scent throughout the day.”
To take advantage of this offer, visit your nearest Superdrug and request a £7.99 Perfume Pod Ice Atomiser. A staff member will then fill it with a fragrance you want out of any of the ones they have out on display as a complimentary sample. It will only work as long as you purchase the pod in-store first.
The offer means you could avoid the expense of purchasing a full-sized bottle, potentially saving more than £100 on certain premium fragrances. Better still, if you want to try out an expensive perfume first before committing to spending money on it, this could be a handy hack.
However, it is essential to understand that the ‘free’ sample is only available with the purchase of a Perfume Pod Ice and is not a permanent offer. A spokesperson from Superdrug has said: “Customers who purchase a Perfume Pod Ice from Superdrug are able to fill up the product once, at point of purchase, with any of the available perfume testers.
“We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and improve our understanding of you. This may include adverts from us and third parties based on our knowledge of you. Customers can only do this once, and cannot keep coming back to get it refilled for free.”
On Facebook, one Superdrug shopper shared the deal with others, writing: “I know this has been posted before but for anyone who hasn’t seen this or new people to this group these perfume pods are £7.99 at superdrug. I had to ask as they were under the counter and they fill it for free with any perfume that is open.
“I chose Lancome L’Elixir, 5ml, 65 sprays (approx). Travel safe and once you’ve used it you can fill it with your favourite perfume.” Her post quickly racked up hundreds of likes and comments.
One person commented: “This is great if you have lot of perfumes and don’t want another bottle.” Another put: “Wow, I never knew this. Definitely going to perfume shop and hopefully get Miss Dior.”
