A Chinese-inspired bar is set to open in Bristol next week, just in time for the Lunar New Year. Jaded Dragon plans to open at 77 Whiteladies Road on Wednesday, January 29 at 4pm.

On the brand new Jaded Dragon Instagram page, the venue is described as being a ‘Chinese Tiki inspired cocktail bar in Bristol’ and ‘THE home of Baijiu in the UK’. Baijiu is a Chinese liquor, national drink of China, and a key part of Chinese culture and celebrations.

Jaded Dragon will also be the sister bar to the Golden Crane, an East-Asian inspired cocktail lounge on Unity Street, that also serves up Baijiu, as well as cocktails, whisky, wine and sake.

Jaded Dragon has shared just three posts to its Instagram page so far at time of writing, each counting down to opening night. Two of them include pictures of some stunning drinks served up in some colourful Tiki cups.

One of the posts, posted two days ago, reads: “Are you ready? One week until the launch of the UK’s first Chinese Tiki Baijiu Bar!” While another, posted on Thursday (January 23), said: “Getting ready for the Chinese new year of the snake? So are we!”

Taking to the comments, Bristolians were quick to share their excitement for the new opening. One said: “Those Tiki mugs!” While others said: “We are so excited”.
