Line of Duty and This Is England actress Vicky McClure and her partner Jonny Owen (of Shameless and Murphy’s Law fame) are bringing their daytime club event back to Bristol next month.

Day Fever, which is described as a ‘revolution, a joyous celebration where people from all walks of life come together to dance, laugh, and relive the magic of those late nights out’, is a daytime club event which runs from 3pm to 8pm. This means you can be home and in bed after the party at a reasonable hour.

The idea came in early 2024 when Vicky and Jonny, alongside Jon McClure (frontman of Reverend & The Makers) thought up the concept of putting on a daytime clubbing experience for those of a certain age. What started as a one-off event in Sheffield’s City Hall Ballroom, has since exploded into a nationwide phenomenon with more than 85,000 happy dancers to date.

Tickets to certain events on the schedule can sell out in hours and last year, Bristol’s own event at the O2 Academy was so popular that they’ve put it back in their diaries for this year, too. Taking place on February 8 at the same venue, tickets cost just £11 each – you can get yours here.

The event now provides many with a safe, inclusive and ego-free space where attendees can simply have a great time. It ditches the late nights and dress codes, so you can turn up in heels or trainers, dressed up or down.

Vicky McClure says: “Travelling up and down the country and seeing so many people enjoying themselves has been such a joy. We’re thrilled that people feel comfortable at Day Fever. Hearing stories has shown us how important it is to just take a break from life and have a bloody good dance!”
