The Academy Award nominations for 2025 were announced today at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles, following delays caused by devastating wildfires in Southern California.

Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang and actor Rachel Sennott revealed the nominees for the 97th annual ceremony.

The announcement came after the Academy extended its voting period to accommodate members affected by the fires, which have forced tens of thousands of residents to evacuate.

Academy CEO Bill Kramer confirmed the ceremony will proceed as planned on March 2, with comedian Conan O’Brien set to host the event for the first time in his career.

The awards will be broadcast on ABC and streamed on various platforms, including Hulu Live TV.

Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez has made Oscar history with 13 nominations, breaking the record for a non-English language film.

The musical, which follows a Mexican gangster who transitions to escape the mob, stars Karla Sofía Gascón, who becomes the first openly trans actor nominated for an Oscar.
