Getting any kind of software with a one-off payment is a win these days, especially when it’s something as useful as a Microsoft Office package. If you’ve been holding off on picking up an Office licence for fear of getting sucked into an expensive subscription cycle, this is just the deal for you.
Right now you can get lifetime access to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2024 for just £28 at Wowcher (all prices correct at the time of writing). If you were going direct through Microsoft, the same package would cost £119.
Complete with Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Access, and PowerPoint, this package has all the essentials for work, study, and small business management, all with a one-off payment and no subscription fees. The licence will only be valid for one PC, so be sure to stick it on one that’s still got plenty of years in it.

Launched on October 2024, this is the latest version of Microsoft Office for the time being. Unlike Office 365 which refreshes to the new version every year, this one will be locked at the 2024 edition. If you’re willing to forgo next year’s features, this deal is a no-brainer.
While Wowcher doesn’t host any product reviews — and user reviews for the Professional 2024 package are thin on the ground at the time of writing — Wowcher itself has a glowing reputation online. At Trustpilot, it’s got a 4.4 out of 5 average from more than 112,000 customer reviews.
However, PC Mag have reviewed the software itself, giving it a 4.5 out of five. They write: “The Microsoft Office 2024 office suite lets you use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote without paying for a Microsoft 365 subscription. All of these programs are among the best at what they do, so this is a great value for Windows and macOS users who work on just one machine.”
As well as noting its for a one computer, they add: “Microsoft’s Office apps are still the standard for everything from writing long-form documents to crunching numbers, and Office 2024 gives you the latest versions for a reasonable one-time price. You lose out on cloud storage and future feature updates compared with a Microsoft 365 subscription, but that’s a fair trade-off for the ability to use these apps to their full extent forever.”
If you’re looking for an alternative, Google Suite offers similar functionality and home use is available for free. Business users can get a souped-up version with the cost tailored to their needs too. LibreOffice is another free option that has a great reputation.
But if you’d rather stick with the classic, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2024 at just £28 is a good price from Wowcher.
