Dr Clare Bailey Mosley has shared one of her favourite recipes – a low-carb bread that can be made in just two minutes. The wife of the late Dr Michael Mosley, who is also very much a health expert in her own right, regularly shares food and diet tips on social media.
Dr Clare was married to the late dieting guru from 1987 until his tragic death in 2024 and worked with her husband on a number of projects, including his well-known Fast 800 diet. The plan often sees individuals lose a substantial amount of weight in a short space of time.
On Thursday morning she said that creating healthy recipes is a “long-time passion of mine” and said that one “standout” favourite is a low-carb keto bread that can be made in a mug. She said it is “a quick and easy alternative to a traditional bread roll that’s both nutritious and delicious”.
The recipe, which can be found on the Fast 800 website, contains just six ingredients. It is said to take five minutes of preparation, before then taking just two minutes to “bake” the bread in the microwave.
The bread is made from butted, flaxseed, ground almonds, pumpkin seeds, baking powder and one small free-range egg. Per serving, it contains 212 calories, 8.2g of protein, 2.7g of fibre and 0.9g of carbs.
