The date for Ulster’s Champions Cup clash with high-flying Bordeaux-Begles has been confirmed.

Richie Murphy’s side will face the French giants at 12.30pm (UK time) on Sunday April 6 in the Last 16 of the tournament they famously won 1999.

Victory in the Stade Chaban-Delmas is a massive ask for Ulstermen. In the pool stages Bordeaux won 40-19 at Ravenhill.

Meanwhile, Croke Park has been confirmed as the venue for Leinster’s match against Harlequins on Saturday, April 5.

As reported in the immediate aftermath of Leinster’s pool win over Bath last weekend, Leo Cullen’s men will take on Quins at Croke Park, as the Aviva Stadium is unavailable for the first weekend in April. Leinster will host Harlequins at GAA HQ on April 5 at 3pm.

Munster’s blockbuster reunion with Ronan O’Gara’s La Rochelle will take place later that evening at 5.30pm at Stade Marcel Deflandre.

Northampton and Clermont will kick-off the round of 16 on Friday, April 4 at 8pm, while Toulon host Saracens in the early kick-off (12.30pm) the following day before Leinster and Munster take centre stage.

Glasgow will face Leicester on the Saturday evening at 8pm, while defending champions Toulouse round off the action against Sale Sharks on Sunday at 3pm.
