An unidentified man is being sought after a sexual assault last month in Toronto.

Toronto Police said officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Bloor St. W.-Yonge St. area on Dec. 18 at 6:25 p.m.

Police said the victim was walking before being approached by the suspect, who allegedly sexually assaulted them. The suspect fled on foot, heading westbound on Bloor.

The victim and suspect were not known to each other.

The suspect is in his 50s, tall and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a red hat and a camouflage backpack. He also has two tattoos on his hand.

SCUGOG WOMAN CHARGED WITH DRUG TRAFFICKING

A 40-year-old woman from Scugog is facing drug-trafficking charges after a traffic stop.

Durham Regional Police said officers initiated a traffic stop on Jan. 14 at 6:20 p.m. in the area of Island Rd. and The Mississauagas Trail.

Police said the driver failed to provide any licence or insurance documentation. A check of the driver’s name confirmed she was suspended from driving and she was taken into custody without incident.

Police said officers searched the vehicle and allegedly found drugs and drug paraphernalia “indicative of trafficking.”

Kirby Spear was charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl), driving a motor vehicle while suspended, speeding, failure to surrender a motor-vehicle permit, driving a motor vehicle failing to display two plates and failure to surrender an insurance card.

BRAMPTON YOUTHS CHARGED AFTER ARMED CARJACKING

Three 17-year-old male youths from Brampton have been charged following an armed carjacking in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police said the victim was approaching his parked vehicle on Jan. 16 at 8:30 p.m. in the Dundas St. E.-Cawthra Rd. area of Mississauga when three suspects exited a vehicle parked directly beside the victim’s, confronted them at gunpoint and demanded the keys.

Cops said the victim threw his keys, at which point the suspects allegedly pushed the victim to the ground, stole his cellphone and fled in the suspect vehicle. The victim’s vehicle wasn’t stolen.

Officers then found the suspect vehicle parked beside another luxury vehicle. Believing that another carjacking was imminent, officers initiated a traffic stop with help from the tactical unit. Three suspects were arrested and a replica firearm was allegedly found in one of the accused’s possession.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect vehicle was reported stolen on Jan. 4 in the The Gore-Castlemore Rds area of Brampton.

The suspects were each charged with robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise and possession of property obtained by crime. The youths can’t be named as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
