The Buffalo Bills have one of the most passionate fanbases in any sport and they show their support better than anyone else out there.

Bills Mafia, as the team’s fans are often called, threw their massive support behind a rival that helped them reach the AFC Championship this coming Sunday.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews made several gaffes during last Sunday’s game at Highmark Stadium, including fourth-quarter fumble and a drop on a two-point conversion attempt that would have tied the game.

While Andrews became the target of much hate online — including from his own team’s supporters — Bills Mafia went the other way.

Members of the Bills fanbase started a GoFundMe page to raise funds for Breakthrough T1D, Andrews’ charity for juveniles with diabetes.

“As many of you know Ravens TE wasn’t able to catch the the game-tying two-point conversion and upset Ravens fans. On top of that, the TE has been receiving death threats and nasty comments atter his performance last night,” the GoFundMe page’s description reads.

“We want Bills Mafia to donate to Mark’s charity for Juvenile diabetes. Let’s reach a goal of at least 5k.”

Well, to say that the goal has been achieved would be a wild understatement.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the page had raised more than (US)$74,000 for the charity, with the goal updated to $90,000.

The Ravens gave a shoutout to the Bills fans, thanking them for supporting Andrews and his charity.

“Shout out to Bills Mafia for showing support to our guy Mark Andrews and donating to the @BreakthroughT1D organization, which works towards curing and improving the lives of those dealing with Type 1 diabetes,” the team’s official account posted on X.

Ravens star QB Lamar Jackson also went out of his way to support Andrews after the loss.

“I’m just as hurt as Mark,” Jackson said. “(It’s not) his fault. All of us played a factor in that game. It’s a team effort. We’re not going to put that on Mark because he’s been battling all season.

“He’s been doing all the great things he’s been doing all season. It (doesn’t) always go our way. We want it to, but at this moment in time, it’s not going our way. We need to figure it out.”

This isn’t the first time that Bills fans have stepped up to support a member of a rival team, either.

In 2018, Buffalo fans donated more than $250,000 to then-Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and his wife’s foundation after he helped Buffalo clinch a playoff berth by leading a game-winning drive that knocked Baltimore out of the playoffs.

Bills Mafia will be cheering hard this Sunday when the team takes on the defending two-time Super Bowl Chiefs in Kansas City with a berth in the Super Bowl on the line.
