The PSNI and Garda have said they cooperated on a cross-border operation that involved forensic examination of a lorry in Derry.
On Tuesday morning, armed officers could be seen standing at the junction of Abercorn Road and Maureen Avenue.
A forensic team could also be seen searching a white lorry at the side of the road.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesperson said: “We are assisting An Garda Síochána with enquiries in relation to an ongoing investigation.”
The Garda said: “The Police Service of Northern Ireland is assisting An Garda Síochána with enquiries in relation to an ongoing investigation.
“An Garda Síochána cannot comment on the specifics of any ongoing investigation.”
