Four friends with a shared passion for adventure have taken full advantage of Northern Ireland’s cold snap this month, breaking a UK and Ireland-wide record with an igloo they built on the top of Slieve Donard. Stewart Thomson, Donnacha Kimber mac Fhionlaoich, Ross Clarke and Jake McBride took on the challenge in the Mournes on Saturday, January 11, but the idea had been brewing in Stewart’s mind long before this winter.
