Anyone who’s been totting up the cost of a brand new smartwatch to kickstart their 2025 fitness goals will know that the flagship Apple, Galaxy Watch and Google Pixel models don’t come cheap – until now. Samsung has launched an unbeatable offer on its Galaxy Watch Ultra model, as it slashes £200 off the price for these shoppers.
You’ll be given a massive multi-hundred-pound discount to put towards buying the Bluetooth + 4G model, but only if you have an older watch to trade in. In exchange for your old set – which doesn’t have to be Samsung – you can reduce the price down to £299 instead of the usual £499.
It’s one of the best deals around – it only takes a quick glance at Amazon and Currys‘ £499 asking price. However, LaptopsDirect is offering the 47mm titanium white model for a cheaper £379 upfront price, but there is no trade-in deal – so this is one for shoppers who don’t have an old watch to hand over.
Samsung’s deal is available on all three 47mm titanium designs – that’s the grey, silver and white. At first, it’s not easy to spot the trade-in price, but all shoppers need to do is ignore the £499 rate and scroll down to the ‘Want up to £200 off?’ window, reports the Mirror.
This is where you’ll find a new price depending on the older model you have to trade in, and there’s a reason why our team raves about it. The trade-in deal is not restricted to Samsung models and there’s a huge selection of options available.
Anyone trading in a 49mm Apple Watch Ultra would receive the full £200 discount, while there’s up to £170 off for Apple Watch Series 8 owners, and even an additional £102 discount for those with an old Apple Watch Series 2. Garmin is also included in the deal, with Forerunner 935 traders getting as much as £110 off, and a smaller £105 discount for anyone trading in a Galaxy Watch 3.
However, even with the £200 trade-in discount, a £299 Galaxy Watch Ultra may still be out of budget for some shoppers. If that’s the case and you’re after a model that tracks simple yet effective fitness stats, the £49 Galaxy Fit3 could be a good option.
There’s also a small £1.20 discount on this Fit3 at Amazon. If you’re curious about how the Ultra model differs from Samsung’s standard Galaxy Watch model, it’s worth noting that this upgraded model is faster and features a more durable titanium design – as opposed to the aluminium on the Galaxy Watch 7.
