Popular chicken restaurant Nando’s has confirmed their latest Northern Irish location set to open later this week.

The restaurant confirmed their newest branch will open at the Sprucefield Centre in Lisburn.

Fans of the restaurant won’t have to wait long either, with the restaurant set to open its doors on Wednesday.

The new store will become the South African chain’s eleventh restaurant in Northern Ireland and create 40 new jobs.

Nando’s offers a range of grilled chicken, burgers and sharing platers.

A combined 149 customers can be seated through it’s indoor and outdoor seating arrangement.

Nando’s Lisburn will open from January 22 and operate between 11.30am and 10pm seven days a week.

Customers will also have the open to order takeaway or click and collect at the store.

A spokesperson from Nando’s said: “To deliver the unique Nando’s experience and its irresistible PERi-PERi to its new customers in Lisburn, Nando’s has created 40 jobs for people in the area.

“Nando’s champions it’s Southern African heritage by continually working with South African based designers across all aspects of its restaurants.

“At Nando’s Lisburn this includes ceiling installations geometric fabrics, hand-woven pendant lights and cork detailing.”

The restaurant has also partnered to work on a number of projects with local charity Atlas Women’s Centre.

The charity provides a space for personal growth, community engagement and adult learning.

Restaurant manager, Colin McKerr said he is excited to welcome customers to the brand-new store in Lisburn.

He said: “We’re delighted to be opening the doors to our brand-new Lisburn restaurant! The restaurant is beautiful, and we’re excited to welcome customers to Lisburn Sprucefield.”
