The atmosphere is heating up in The Traitors castle as the faithful contestants intensify their efforts to uncover the deceivers among them.

In each episode, the survivors have the opportunity to banish someone from the competition, hoping to eliminate a traitor.

Last week’s episodes on BBC saw participants Linda, Alex and Leon being sent home. While they managed to identify Linda as a traitor, their suspicions about Alex and Leon were misplaced.

Discussing their dramatic departure on Monday’s Lorraine, Alex expressed his disbelief. After showing a clip of his elimination, Alex remarked: “Couldn’t believe it, completely robbed!”

He admitted, however, that there was a sense of gratification in revealing to the others that he was indeed a faithful and they had made a mistake.

Lisa, who joined Alex on the couch, also reflected on her experience of being ‘murdered’ by the traitors on the show. She described her exit as somewhat flattering to Lorraine.

She elaborated: “Being murdered is a kind of compliment, it means that you’re getting close and they’re obviously worried about you.”

“So, you can take a sense of satisfaction in the fact that you think, ‘Actually, they knew I was getting close and was onto them’. I’m taking it as a compliment!”

Despite their departures from the show, which was recorded last year, the camaraderie has endured beyond the castle walls, with both Lisa and Linda celebrating Alex’s wedding with him, reports Wales Online.

Discussing their connection, Alex opened up about the intense situation they found themselves in, and how they turned to each other for support. He shared: “We were just totally silly together and that was it, we connected and it was really special.”

Lisa reflected on their relationship and found similarities with her own family, saying: “Alex reminds me of my boys in many ways, very similar sense of humour. So, we had that dry sense of humour where we’d look at things and just laugh, laughter would get you through an awful lot of tense moments.”

Though Alex and Lisa’s stint in the castle has ended, the competition continues with nine contestants remaining. Amidst them, Charlotte and Minah have not yet been spotted as traitors.

But some viewers have expressed concerns over Charlotte’s potential game plan to persuade fellow competitors to eliminate Minah in a bid to become the final traitor.

An anxious fan posted: “Charlotte throwing Minah under the bus.”

Another added their critique: “Charlotte is really p*****g me off, she’s throwing Minah under the bus when there isn’t any need to.”

One person voiced their allegiance: “If Charlotte betrays our girl Minah I will riot! ” And a further commenter speculated about the outcome: “If Charlotte gets Minah out, then I’d want the faithfuls to win.”

The Traitors continues Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One from 9pm. Lorraine is available to watch weekdays on ITV from 9am.
