PRINTING MONEY

I didn’t even know this was a thing. Apparently, the federal government has just announced it will be immediately ending its rebate program for EVs, as the program has now run out of money (“Dead batteries,” Lorrie Goldstein, Jan. 14). In the over nine years since the Liberals came to power, when a government program runs out of money, don’t they just print some more?

(That has been the Liberals’ way for the last near decade. Spend spend spend with nothing tons how for it)

TRUDEAU THE LOSER

Best. News. Ever. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he will not run again in his Montreal riding in the next general election. He’s been hounded out of office, forcing him to resign, slowly as it may be. But he doesn’t want to be second banana to anyone in a Liberal opposition party sitting in Parliament. It’s all or nothing with him. Either he’s running the show, or he’s out. Nobody will be sad to see him go. The only news that would have been more welcomed would have been hearing on election night that he lost his Liberal seat in Papineau. We should look forward to the same happening to Steven Guilbeault.

(It is disappointing Canadians won’t be able to send him a direct message for his failed government but indirectly by relegating the Liberals into political oblivion)

TIME OF ANNOYANCE

I don’t know what’s more annoying, Trump’s possible tariffs, or another four years of Seth Meyers doing his Trump impression.

(It’s not a very good one either. But it’s definitely the tariffs)

CANADA’S REJECTION

The looming federal election will be quite a challenge for the Liberals. The new Liberal leader will be forced to lay the near destruction of Canada at the feet of his/her party. He or she will be forced to convince voters that all surviving Liberal MPs have done a 180 on how to govern. Hopefully, Canadians will reject this as another Liberal strategy to avoid responsibility and accountability.

(At the the first opportunity, Canadians are ready to send the Liberals a message – no matter who their leader is)
