Before becoming a Faithful on the popular BBC show The Traitors, 20-year-old Freddie Fraser had a promising career as a sprint hurdler.

According to Power of 10, Fraser topped the UK rankings in the 2020 indoor season, achieving a personal best of 8.09 seconds in the 60 meters at the London U17 Games. The Peterborough-born star also claimed a bronze medal at the England Athletics Indoor Championship in 2019 and won several gold medals at the U15 level in 2018.

Unfortunately, Fraser’s athletic career was cut short due to a hamstring injury in 2020. In an interview with Metro before the show started, he revealed how was forced to reassess his goals following the blow.

“I don’t do sport anymore because I tore my hamstring in 2020, so I’ve sort of shifted that mindset into everyday life,” he said. “If I’m doing a job, if I’m studying,” he added. “I want to do it to the best of my ability and bring that drive and passion.”

According to British Athletics statistics, Fraser has not competed since the 2020 season, reports the Mirror. During the 2025 edition of the popular game show, the loyal participant has come under scrutiny from his fellow competitors.

He has also faced a barrage of intimidating accusations and votes at the round table. As reported by Cambridgeshire Live, even Livi Dean, who was ‘murdered’ on the show by the traitors, had strong yet misguided suspicions about Fraser, openly criticising his actions on the programme.

Fraser responded to the allegations by theorising that Livi or one of her close cohorts might be the traitor, given their eagerness to paint him as guilty. This ultimately led to another Faithful, Tyler, being ousted prior to Livi’s ‘murder’.

Following her own ‘murder’, Livi continued to point the finger at Fraser. Nonetheless, once out of the game and realising Fraser was actually a devoted contestant, she expressed remorse on Loose Women. “I felt awful of course,” she said. “He definitely went through it, and it was a lot, and he deserved a break.”

The emotional rollercoaster didn’t end there for Fraser as he found himself brought to tears at the round table after Francesca, whom he had grown very close to and viewed as a maternal figure, cast a vote against him. Following the voting, a shared hug between the two sparked rumours that they might be mother and son in real life.

The rumour was sparked with Fraser’s age matching that of one of her sons. However, the truth remains known only to the pair themselves, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting revelations as the show continues.
