Meghan Markle’s podcast staff required “long term therapy” or took extended breaks due to the strain of working with her, according to claims published in Vanity Fair.
The magazine’s extensive profile, based on months of interviews with dozens of sources close to the Sussexes, allege that the pressure Meghan put on colleagues when things went wrong was “really, really, really awful” and “very painful”.
The revelations come in an 8,000-word feature marking five years since the couple’s departure from the UK.
According to the magazine, one colleague – connected to Meghan’s Archetypes podcast – took leave after working on just three episodes.

Multiple sources described staff members taking extended breaks to “escape scrutiny” or leaving their positions entirely after working with the Duchess.
One source told Vanity Fair: “You don’t tell the couple no.
“I left because I couldn’t live with myself anymore.”
Another source claimed staff could feel “yelled at” even without raised voices, describing it as “the energy of being yelled at”.

The Duchess’s management style was described as “undermining” by one source.
They said: “It’s talking behind your back.
“It’s gnawing at your sense of self. Really, like, Mean Girls-teenager.”
The allegations echo previous bullying claims made against Meghan in 2018, where a palace complaint suggested “the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household”.
