The Masked Singer fans have been hot on the case, suggesting they’ve ‘sussed out’ the mystery individual behind the Tattoo guise thanks to a significant tip-off.
Tattoo takes inspiration from classic heart tattoos. The costume features a feminine countenance atop a heart, surrounded by floral embellishments.
A notable feature is the sizable bow with the inscription “LOVE” stretched across it, adding to the enigma of the heart-pierced attire.
Audiences have grappled with this cryptic challenge: “If you want a tattoo then you surely have heard, you can’t beat a loved one with one special word.”
Amid strong vocal performances that continue to captivate, many viewers are convinced that the incognito artist might well be the renowned singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado.
Plenty of speculation abounds on Reddit, where fans argue that the clues match up convincingly with Nelly Furtado, famed for her chart-topping track Maneater.
One commenter noted: “I think the framed photo of Natalie Appleton isn’t a reference to a girlband, but actually is a clue to Tattoo being Canadian.”
Another chimed in: “The horseshoe, rabbits foot and four-leaf clover all symbolise luck. Nelly’s newest album is called ‘7’ which also represents luck. The Robin Hood hat could be a clue to her second album being called Folklore.”
A fan speculated online: “I think there are references to the titles of songs on her newest album (I don’t know when this was filmed, so maybe it doesn’t work if it was filmed before the album was released),” and observed that Tattoo’s bird costume could be a nod to Nelly’s renowned track I’m Like A Bird.
They continued by connecting the dots with Nelly’s breakthrough hit Turn Off the Light, leading viewers to keenly anticipate whether The Masked Singer’s Tattoo will confirm their suspicions.
Betway spokesperson Mike Reading commented: “The latest season of Masked Singer UK already promises to stir things up, after week one delivered the showstopping reveals of Dame Prue Leith, Kate Garraway, and even Sir Mo Farah as Giant Joel, in a twist to the show’s usual format.
“There’s just a day to go until either Wolf, Toad in the Hole, Bear, Bush or Pufferfish face the final curtain call and are unmasked – in an exit that’s already been teased to be one of the most shocking in the show’s history.
“Already, fans and the panel alike have guessed famous names, from actor David Tennant as Wolf (5/1) to singers Macy Gray as Toad in the Hole (5/1) and Jamie-Lynn Spears as Pufferfish (5/1), and even celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay as Bear (8/1). With the stage set, all eyes will be on which celeb will be revealed in the dramatic unmasking.”
The Masked Singer is broadcast on ITV and ITVX.
