The Masked Singer enthusiasts are certain they’ve cracked the code on who’s behind the Kingfisher mask.

The hit ITV programme graced our screens again tonight (January 18) with Joel Dommett resuming his role as host, and viewers reckon they’ve sussed out the identity of Kingfisher following a series of clues pointing to a legendary comedian.

Kingfisher dazzled the audience and judges with a rendition of Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, earning a rousing applause after their performance.

Post-performance, social media was abuzz with speculation, with numerous fans suggesting it could be none other than comedy and television legend Harry Hill.

One fan took to X, previously known as Twitter, to assert: “Kingfisher is 100% Harry Hill. His first name was on the wheel, the other week, and he was on The Wheel on BBC1. The A+ paper was because he was a doctor! And that voice is obvious #TheMaskedSinger #TheMaskedSinger.”

Another viewer confidently stated: “Sounds sooo like Harry Hill to me #TheMaskedSinger #Kingfisher.” A third chimed in: “Kingfisher feels so obviously Harry Hill, but Jonathan is protecting him so he stays a couple more weeks.”

A different fan remarked: “#TheMaskedSinger Kingfisher is 100% Harry Hill and Jonathan Ross knows it is.” Meanwhile, another insisted: “Kingfisher is Harry Hill. The minute he spoke on the opening show, I’m sure I got him.”

And yet another added: “#Kingfisher is 100% Harry Hill. They are trying to throw us off the scent with the VTs but it’s definitely him #TheMaskedSinger.”

Speculation has been rife that Paul Whitehouse could be the mystery celebrity behind Kingfisher’s mask, and during a segment on ITV’s Lorraine, the host couldn’t help but grill him about the swirling rumours, reports the Mirror.

Paul responded with a wry comment: “If I say ‘yes’, you won’t believe me and if I say ‘no’ you won’t believe me so..” He then hinted at his own suspicions, pointing the finger elsewhere: “Whoever has done it, Harry Hill, has very cleverly thrown the focus to me.”

Lorraine was quick to jump on this, asking: “Ohh you think it might be Harry Hill?”. Realising he might have said too much, Paul backtracked slightly: “No, I mean there’s rumours flying around.”
