The man accused of ramming numerous Toronto Police cruisers near Moss Park on Thursday night has more than 70 criminal convictions, and was on parole at the time of the crash.

Police say the suspect, reportedly driving a stolen white Hummer, slammed into police vehicles on George St. between Queen St. E. and Richmond St. E. just before 10:15 p.m. after a pursuit.

While details are scarce, Thursday night’s scene saw at least three wrecked police cars surrounding the Hummer.

The suspect, who was reportedly on a conditional release for auto theft charges, was checked out in hospital.

Nobody was injured in the wild scene.
