One woman has been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor in Co Antrim.

The incident occurred around just before 8.55pm on the A26 Lisnevenagh Road close to the Ballee roundabout in Ballymena.

The road was partially closed but has since reopened.

On Friday, morning, police confirmed that a woman was taken to hospital, but that her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A statement read: “Police are appealing for information following a report of a three-vehicle road traffic collision.

“Officers attended, along with colleagues from other emergency services, and one woman was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

“Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information, including dashcam footage, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1610 of 16/1/25.”

The NI Ambulance Service said on Thursday evening that it had received a 999 call at 8.52pm.

“NIAS despatched two emergency crews and an ambulance officer to the incident,” a statement read.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient has been taken to AAH and the incident remains ongoing.”
