Ontario Provincial Police said Friday that the incident happened at 5 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 412 near Taunton Rd.
In video posted by 6ixBuzzTV, cameras show both inside and outside the vehicle as it travels along the highway. A transport truck is visible up ahead to the right and the vehicle is clearly going to pass it in the left lane.
Suddenly, as the vehicle nears the cab of the truck at 118 km/h, the front-seat passenger grabs the wheel and turns towards the tractor trailer. The shocked driver hits him and shouts repeatedly, “What the f*** are you doing?”
The man lets go but then grabs the wheel a second time, jerking it to the right.
A female passenger in the rear seat gets up and appears to criticize the driver as the passenger in the front seat undoes his seatbelt and exits the vehicle, saying nothing.
There also appeared to be several children in the rear.
