We’re at the halfway mark of what feels like the longest January of all the Januarys, so it’s understandable if thoughts go to escaping somewhere warm.
But if you can’t get away, there are a few things going in Toronto that will make you feel like you are on vacation — you just have to imagine hard that the snow outside is grains on a sandy beach.
Here’s what you need to know to make the necessary plans.
Toronto International Boat Show
Boaters and water sports enthusiasts can pretend it’s summer by checking out North America’s largest indoor marketplace for boats and marine products.
There’s everything from boats, personal watercrafts, stand-up paddleboards and wakeboards to all things fishing, sailing, e-foiling and more.
Whether you’re attending one of the free seminars, taking in the Indoor Wakeboard Canadian Championships or enjoying an activity that gives you an experience of that outdoor recreational lifestyle, it’s all under one roof.
Head to the Enercare Centre on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am. to 6 p.m.
(The show is running until Jan. 26 so it’s also open Jan. 20 to Jan. 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Jan. 24 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
