Famous Irish chef duo ‘The Happy Pear’ will be making a rare appearance in Bristol to kick of their new country-wide tour. Fans will be able to attend a ticketed event at the Studio at Dareshack to see the popular chefs in action.

Dave and Steve Flynn became famous after turning a tiny veg shop in Greystones, Ireland, into a large-scale plant-powered business operation. And for 20 years, The Happy Pear have been been making it their mission to ‘spread health and happiness’ through their food and recipes.

The pair are launching their new book, The Happy Pear 20, which showcases reimagined old classics and iconic favourites, including stories and lessons learnt during the twins’ 20 years in the food industry.

The tour promoters said: “From Flynn family favourites, to the café’s most beloved and iconic dishes. The Happy Pear 20 raises a toast to 20 years of tried-and-true recipes with over 100+ delicious recipes to enjoy.

“The Happy Pear 20 is an inspiring, joyful, and downright delicious addition to any home cook’s Happy Pear collection, and highlights just how tasty plant-based cusine can be.”

David and Stephen Flynn are best known as the Happy Pear. In 2004, they opened a tiny shop in Greystones, Co. Wicklow with a dream of encouraging people to eat more vegetables. Now The Happy Pear’s operation consists of their café and shop, 80 products, seven online courses, seven cookbooks, a regenerative organic farm, a coffee roastery, and a community of almost two million people.

The Happy Pear 20: Recipes and Learnings From the First 20 Years, by David and Stephen Flynn, is published by Gill Books on 1st November 2024, priced at £23.99 and will be available from all good booksellers.
