Ray Parlour believes Arsenal’s dip in form is down to the absence of Bukayo Saka as they prepare for tonight’s blockbuster north London derby clash with Tottenham.
The Gunners go into the contest having lost their last two matches against Newcastle and Manchester United in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup respectively.
Saka has been absent for Arsenal ever since their 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on December 21.
The north London giants are hopeful the winger will be back in February, though they’re keen not to rush him into a return.

Arsenal remain in contention for the Premier League title but, in recent matches, have looked a shadow of their usual selves.
And Parlour, speaking exclusively to GB News via NetBet Online Casino, believes Saka’s absence is a big reason why.
“You look at the possession and chances Arsenal have created the last two games, they should have scored more goals than just the one,” he said.
“It’s a big disappointment to lose by two against Newcastle and then on penalties to Manchester United.

“Arsenal do miss Bukayo Saka a lot and with injuries being picked up, this doesn’t help as well.
“There is still a chance in the League, but Arsenal must now win both home games this week, starting with Spurs on Wednesday.”
When asked what Mikel Arteta can do to get his team back to their best, the Arsenal icon added: “Arsenal need to finish the chances they create.
“The possession football is good, but you have to score when you’re on top in games.

“It relieves pressure and then Arsenal can play more free flowing football.
“Some of the build up could flow better, but you look at the chances Arsenal are creating and the goals will come. Arsenal aren’t far away at all.”
The January transfer window is currently open.
Many Arsenal fans would love to see the club splash the cash, with a new striker the priority.

“I hope Arsenal can get a player in as Saka’s injury will mean more pressure on the rest of the team.”
One player strongly linked with Arsenal is Alexander Isak. And Parlour believes the Newcastle forward is ‘the one’ to drive the Gunners to new heights.
“He is the one. You could see him fitting in the squad perfectly,” he continued. “With the way Arsenal play, he would be the perfect No 9. But, he won’t be leaving in January, so Arsenal need to wait to the summer.”
