Residents in the Peak District have been left fuming after a wildlife garden in a picturesque village was trashed by yobs.

A number of items were thrown into the pond and a sundial was tipped over at the Bankside Wildlife Garden in Youlgrave, near Bakewell, Derbyshire.

Detectives said the incident took place between New Year’s Day and Monday, January 13.

Individual items were tossed into the pond, with yobs tipping over the sundial and making a general mess of the garden area, plus its facilities.
