The latest series of The Traitors has viewers gripped, and one contestant’s story has particularly captured the audience’s attention. Amidst the intriguing mix of Faithfuls and Traitors competing in the show, there is one contestant whose journey is both captivating and inspiring.

Nathan Khider, banished in the first elimination, has a backstory characterised by extreme highs and lows that sets him apart. Originally from London, Nathan left school at the age of 15 with no GCSEs to his name.

Nonetheless, he managed to clinch a property deal later on that brought him an “enormous amount” of money. But after enjoying a luxurious lifestyle, he found himself penniless and living out of his car for half a year, reports The Express.

Recounting this tough phase to The Sun, Nathan said: “People say six months is nothing, but at the time it felt like an eternity. It felt like I was there forever. Every day, ‘What food do I eat? What clothes do I wear?'”.

With a resolute spirit, Nathan tried to work in real estate, eventually travelling to the Middle East where he started afresh and mastered the concept of taking “safe risks”.

He reflected on his mindset at the time by saying, “I told myself, ‘What’s the worst that can happen? I’ve already been homeless.'”.

Today, as a self-made millionaire who oversees various successful businesses, Nathan stands as proof that determination can change even the most difficult circumstances

Despite Nathan’s inspirational personal story, his stint on The Traitors was disappointingly brief. As the first contestant to be eliminated at the roundtable, audiences were denied the opportunity to witness how his experiences might have shaped his strategy in the game.

Meryl Williams, a former winner of The Traitors, has shared her thoughts on how the show could be improved. In an exclusive interview with the Express, Meryl suggested that the series would benefit from having “more episodes”.

She noted that the current scheduling leaves a significant gap between episodes, with a weekend pause followed by a wait until Wednesday.

However, Meryl also offered praise for the show’s progress, stating: “But I think they’re doing really well, they’ve done amazing. They are definitely learning a lot. They have also put more budget into this season than they did in season one.”
