Apparently winning NFL playoff games on the field is a lot easier than calling them from up in the booth.

At least for Tom Brady, that is.

The NFL legend is once again being roasted for making several on-air mistakes while serving as Fox Sports TV analyst during Sunday’s NFL wild-card game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.

Brady, who has served as the network’s top colour commentator this season alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt, flubbed several calls while putting on a performance that had viewers calling for him to be replaced.

During one call late in the first half, Brady mistook the Eagles for Philadelphia’s MLB team while aiming to compliment the playcalling of the hosts.

“(You have) three timeouts, so you’d have a couple plays. But I like this call by the Phillies … excuse me, by Philly,” Brady said on the air.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner also mixed up the name of Packers running back Josh Jacobs, calling him Brandon Jacobs instead.

Brandon Jacobs is a retired NFL running back, who played most of his career for the New York Giants. Most notably, Jacobs was part of the Giants squads that twice beat Brady’s New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Fans on social media were quick to lambast the GOAT QB for his miscues, with several calling for the network to make an audible and hand the keys back to Greg Olsen.

Fox’s so-called ‘No. 2′ team of Olsen and Joe Davis recently was voted the Best NFL Broadcast Team of 2024 in a poll of over 2,400 fans conducted by sports media site Awful Announcing. In the survey, the Burkhardt/Brady tandem came 14th out of 25 broadcast teams.

“Tom Brady not being allowed to say anything negative really makes him calling games pointless. Incredible scam he pulled on Fox,” one user wrote on X. “I miss Greg Olsen in the primetime slot.”

“He is absolutely atrocious on the microphone! Get this a**hole out of her and bring me back Greg Olsen!” a second user commented.

“They’re giving this man the GDP of Lithuania to do this,” joked another user, referencing the $375-million deal that Brady signed to join the network in 2023.

“Tom Brady talks like he’s waiting for more words to show up on the teleprompter,” a fourth user wrote.

With Fox broadcasting the Super Bowl this year, the studio lights are only going to get brighter for Brady, too.

Brady, who has 35 career playoff wins – more than all but four teams in the Super Bowl era – is set to call the division round matchup between the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions on Saturday, which could bring up an interesting situation.

Brady, who is a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, reportedly is pushing for the team to hire Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to fill their vacancy at head coach. The team also has interviewed Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn for the position.
