Two swingers who wanted to live out their sexual fantasies at a Minnesota orgy were found dead in their hotel room.

Now, cops are trying to unravel the mystery.

According to investigators with the Shakopee Police, the bodies of 47-year-old Josh Peter Quale and 54-year-old mother-of-three Shantelle Denise Bresson were discovered on New Year’s Day following a swingers event.

Officers were dispatched to the Baymont by Wyndham Hotel at 1244 Canterbury Rd. in Shakopee just before 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 1 for a welfare check. Family members had contacted the hotel about Quale’s disappearance.

They discovered his truck in the hotel parking lot.

Quale had rented a room at the hotel but was slated to check out on Dec. 29.

Using an electronic key to enter the room, police discovered the bodies of Quale and Bresson. Both were in an advanced state of decomposition.

Cops also discovered illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia near the bodies. A search warrant was issued and detectives did field tests revealing the presence of methamphetamine and cocaine.

They also confiscated his phone, an iPad and camera SD card.

Cops discovered that the twosome were at the hotel for a boffo bash called the “Big O” Frozen Fantasy Event. Court documents revealed that a club called Midwest Euphoria had rented the whole hotel to ensure the event was private.

Police noted that “anyone at the hotel at the time of the party is there for the party.”

Cops requested — and granted — access to Midwest Euphoria’s guest list. They also received permission to search one of the victim’s phones.

While the deaths remain a mystery, Shakopee Police Chief Jeff Tate said all directions point to an overdose for the two dead people. The chief added there was a positive test for fentanyl. He added that the investigation remains “active.”

Midwest Euphoria said the swinging club condemns all drug use at their events. On their website, the group cautions that drug use is not permitted.

The hotel said they had been unaware that drugs were involved in the deaths.

“In the past, we had no untoward incident happening with this group and it was absolutely devastating to know that there was use of narcotics and overdose was the probable cause of death,” the owner said in a statement.
