Police have provided an update on their ongoing efforts to locate two missing twin sisters today (January 11). Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, who are both aged 32, were last seen on CCTV footage at Victoria Bridge, Aberdeen, Scotland around 2.12 am last Tuesday.

The camera captured them as they headed towards the Aberdeen Boat Club near the River Dee before they seemingly disappeared without a trace. Authorities have mentioned that the River Dee remains central to their investigation due to the lack of any evidence suggesting the twins have left the vicinity.

As reported by the Daily Star, Chief Inspector Darren Bruce said: “Eliza and Henrietta’s family are understandably extremely worried about them and we are working tirelessly to find them.”

“The focus of our search remains the River Dee and I would again ask, if you were in the area at the time, please think back, did you notice anyone matching their description? Even if it doesn’t seem significant, please pass any information on and let us be the judge of that.”

As part of the extensive search, resources including a police helicopter, marine unit, and dog branch are being deployed, with operations extending towards the Port of Aberdeen’s South Harbour. The twins are described as white and of slim build with long, brown hair. Officers are maintaining communication with Hungarian authorities to support family members as the search continues.

Chief Inspector Bruce added: “I would again urge businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road area to please review their CCTV footage for early morning on Tuesday, 7 January, 2025 and contact us if it holds anything that may be relevant to our investigation.

“We are also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage from that time. We are seriously concerned about them and have significant resources dedicated to the enquiry.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Officers are also keen on viewing dashcam footage from the date in question.
