It’s not the sight of the Washington Monument against clear winter skies that impresses me most. Nor is it the oversized statue of Albert Einstein reclining under a grove of trees. It’s the calmness my Uber driver, Noor, exudes as we struggle to cross America’s capital city on return from Arlington Cemetery, where I spent the morning visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Solider and the graves of JFK and his brother, Bobby.
