Fans of The Masked Singer are certain they’ve cracked the identity of the celebrity behind Bush. Since the star-studded ITV show made its comeback last Saturday (January 4), viewers have been busy guessing the famous faces hidden behind characters like Wolf, Toad in the Hole, Pufferfish and more.
The character of Bush has sparked a flurry of online speculation, with many convinced that Charlie Dimmock is the star under the mask. The 58-year-old celebrity gardener shot to fame in 1997 when BBC Two launched Garden Force, also featuring Tommy Walsh and Alan Titchmarsh.
The programme proved so popular that it switched to BBC One within a year, securing a prime-time slot.
Together, this renowned trio transformed ordinary gardens into nature-filled sanctuaries for individuals nominated by their family or friends.
Since 2016, Charlie has been leading the charge on BBC’s Garden Rescue, reports the Mirror.
According to Betway, Charlie is currently the favourite to be revealed as Bush, with odds of 2/1. She’s closely followed by Stacey Solomon at 5/1.
Actress Billie Piper is the third favourite at 7/1, with EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy just behind at 8/1.
Betway spokesperson Mike Reading commented on the latest betting odds for The Masked Singer, stating: “The latest season of Masked Singer UK already promises to stir things up, after week one delivered the show-stopping reveals of Dame Prue Leith, Kate Garraway, and even Sir Mo Farah as Giant Joel, in a twist to the show’s usual format.”
The Masked Singer enthusiasts are taking to social media with their predictions that the character Bush is actually Charlie Dimmock.
One person queried on X, “Bush is Charlie Dimmock? #MaskedSingerUK #MaskedSinger.”
A second fan announced, “Bush is Charlie Dimmock! #MaskedSingerUK #maskedsinger”, and another suggested, “Family saying Bush is Charlie Dimmock but I heard Natalie Cassidy #maskedsinger.”
Someone else posed the question, “Bush – Charlie Dimmock? #MaskedSinger”, while another concluded, “It has to be Charlie Dimmock as bush surely #maskedsinger.”
The Masked Singer continues on ITV1 and ITVX on Saturday January 11 at 7pm.
