A huge tree fell into a lake at a park in Bristol. A picture shows the fallen tree at Eastville Park lake yesterday (Friday, January 10).

The picture was taken shortly before 12pm and shows the tree uprooted. The trunk and branches fell on to the footpath and into the ornamental lake.

Eastville Park, located two miles north east of Bristol city centre, is a popular outdoor spot for locals to enjoy. It is made up of 70 acres of green space with the River Frome running through it.

As well as the lake, the park incudes playgrounds, football pitches, a tennis court and a bowling green. Visitors are also able to enjoy a relaxing walk along the river to Oldbury Court and Snuff Mills.
