Ethan Mcilroy: Back from injury and playing alongside childhood friend Ward, his knee appeared to give way when taking a pass and he was gone early. 4

Werner Kok: Covered across to save a try and then in the wars with a blood spattered shirt. Never gave up and was still throwing himself around at the death. 6

Ben Carson: Involved from the off, he was busy putting himself about but had little opportunity to show much with the ball and threw the pass for Tigers’ sixth try. 5

Jude Postlethwaite: Strong as usual especially in the tackle but then it all became just too difficult to make an impression in the second half against the Tigers’ midfield. 5

Zac Ward: A powerful early run and tackle on the line. There were some high ball issues and then he collided with McCann and was removed for an HIA. 5

Aidan Morgan: Not a great kick straight to Pollard but recovered to mix his game up quite well whether kicking or distributing. Left the action early again. 5

Nathan Doak: Again looked sharp with both his tactical kicking and general presence with ball in hand. Was central to Ulster’s good patch but it didn’t last. 6

Andrew Warwick: He never lets Ulster down and was there with some hard yards in the opening half but left the field just as the Tigers put on the afterburners. 5

John Andrew: Another player who was well up for action, with involvements around the field and a notable tackle shortly which came before he was called ashore. 5

Scott Wilson: Some typically strong carries were part of the package we have come to expect but then as the scrum began to creak he made way for Barrett. 5

Iain Henderson: The skipper’s return seemed to galvanise those around him and a great jackal in the first half offered hope. He left early in the new half. 6

Cormac Izuchukwu: Some effective defensive work, getting himself in good positions and he combined that with some notable carries but fell away in that second half. 6

James McNabney: Strong and used frequently to truck the ball up as well being busy defensively. But then it all became too much of a struggle in that second half. 5

Nick Timoney: Following up as usual he snaffled a score from nothing and demonstrated again that he has some engine. Not really in it after the break, just like Ulster. 6

Dave McCann: Great pick up of a low pass and was used as a launch pad in the lineout. The remainder was just all rather demoralising and back-foot stuff. 5
